Look online, and many people begin their day with a 10-minute cold shower, drink 3 gallons of water, skip coffee, get up at 4 am, and even run a mini-marathon.

That may be exaggerating a bit, but that is not me.

But I do realize the importance of starting your day right. It sets the tone for the rest of the day. And that affects your productivity.

In my quest to make the most of my time on this earth, I have read about productivity, habits, taming my ADHD, and routines.

There was lots of trial and error, too.

Why It Started

When the kids were little, and I had a regular 9-to-5 job, life was simpler in terms of routine. Everything to accomplish had clear guidelines for what and where I needed to do each day.

Only having to worry about me makes it a bit more challenging because no one will suffer my lack of motivation.

I often felt rushed to balance business, family, fun, and stability. That's when I understood that the rest of my day would be smoother if I got my morning routine right.

They say life begins at 40, but I’m proof it gets even better at 60—because thriving doesn’t have an age limit, and neither does dreaming big.
