My Anti-Hustle Day

Everyone needs a day to rest and restore

My usual protocol for the week is “no-work” weekends. No work being nothing in my business, working on it is okay.

Typically, I have some content I can pull from to post on social media and interact with groups, so I don’t have to research, write, and proof. But not since my foray into Medium writing.

The goal was to have a few articles in the wings to keep up with publishing daily because I might be in the mindset to write.

Today would have been a great day for that.

Instead, I sit here pecking out a short article because this is my anti-hustle day.

Where I...

  • enjoy coffee and catch up with my best bud,
  • look at fixtures for the bathroom remodel,
  • spend some time with the parents,
  • spend a little time with the grand pups (and son),
  • make a gluten and sugar-free dessert, and hope it’s edible,
  • start the book I borrowed from the library,
  • watch a movie, maybe

This is the day I let my brain recharge and regroup.

And I thought writing an article would disrupt the flow.

Instead, it was like publicly journaling the memories so far.

And now I will try a piece of that cake and hope for the best.

They say life begins at 40, but I’m proof it gets even better at 60—because thriving doesn’t have an age limit, and neither does dreaming big.
