My favorite saying is, “Have the day you deserve.” Have you heard it?

As far back as I can remember, I was taught to treat others as I wanted to be treated. It's a simple concept — in life, business, and general.

It was a family motto, a church doctrine, a school rule. So when did that change? The entitlement and elevation of specialness.

I used to think I was thankful I grew up in the non-social, everything-is-video age. We all make mistakes, and having them recorded and plastered worldwide for the world to see is not cool.

But then I thought that without accountability, there would be no guidelines. Treating people with little respect, disregard, or outright lies opens the door for the karma that comes your way.

That is never more relevant than in the businesses we create, the writings we share, and the life we lead. I used to think that rules and laws would catch up with those who abuse these simple principles. Not so.

So we'll leave it up to karma to fill in those gaps. Because I honestly feel and believe that what comes around goes around. Karma is sometimes swift and just — or it takes time to deliver what you deserve.

They say life begins at 40, but I’m proof it gets even better at 60—because thriving doesn’t have an age limit, and neither does dreaming big.
