As part of my daily routine, I journal daily. Some days, it's a rambling mess; others, I try a prompt, and some, I sketch or doodle, and then I note whatever thoughts come from that.

Every day, without fail, I list at least one thing I am grateful for and one accomplishment.

Doing this allows me to analyze how my week went and where it failed. Not only what I did not accomplish but also what I learned from it.

My goals and life are not measured by how much money I brought in this week or how many hours I worked but by what I achieved and learned.

This week's outlook.

  • Grateful: strong, hot coffee
    Win: yummy gluten, sugar-free dessert
  • Grateful: beautiful sunrise
Win: productive call with a client
  • Grateful: new contractor
Win: ability to make the new decision I need for the project
  • Grateful: library book to borrow
Win: acceptance of proposal with my new rates
  • Grateful: freedom in my schedule
Win: empty (of people) grocery store
  • Grateful: loving from Maggie (despite the treats)
    Win: not feeling guilty about…
