This morning, I opened my browser to knock another task off my goals list: buy a domain for my upcoming newsletter. Practicing a ‘no spend year,’ my usual approach to domain selection — buying many options — required a pivot in my game plan.

My enthusiasm for new ideas typically translates into purchasing twenty domain names or more. Over the years, I’ve amassed a list of unused and not-quit-wanted URLs.

It’s a hazard to the web design and development space.

This year, however, my commitment to intentionality and my ‘no spend’ commitment had me thinking about this practice.
